Hey there! My name is Mika, and I’m designophile and the person behind DesignyUp.
How I Got Into The Graphic Design
I remember it was 12 years ago, on a hot summer day during my school vacations, when I saw my first Photoshop tutorial. Even though it was only a glossy button with an icon in it, I was fascinated by the idea of being able to create something aesthetically pleasing (for that time) from scratch!
From there, my love for graphic design only grew stronger. So, after 1,000,000,000 (not exact number) tutorials, I decided to sign up for a graphic design college and expand my knowledge of graphic design.
During my studies, I happily designed logos for family and friends, which helped me build a graphic design portfolio and lead to my first graphic design job.
Fast forward to today, I have a bachelor degree in graphic design with experience in working for big agencies and small studios as well as freelancing.
Why I Started DesignyUp
I’ve launched DesignyUp because I would like to share the know-how I gained on my graphic design journey, broaden the understanding of graphic design, and to skyrocket the skills of everyone who is getting in this highly creative industry.
If you found the DesignyUp blog helpful, share it with other graphic designers, and don’t forget to check out the newest weekly articles.
